You are the best person to decide what's right for you. A personal budget gives you more choice and control over the kind of support you use and how it's provided. A personal budget is money from the council for you to spend on the services and support you need to help you live more independently.
They are more flexible than Direct Payments and can be used to but support from both the Council and other providers. Your money can be spent more creatively, mixing and matching the services and tailoring the support to suit you.
If you are over 18 and not living in residential care then you are eligible for social care support. You can ask for an assessment to see if you are eligible and for what needs. The amount of your budget depends on these needs which you will identify when you do your assesment. We can help you with this at Leeds CIL, both during your assessment and after, so give us a call and see how Leeds CIL can help you.
