It's difficult enough sorting out everything required to employ a PA, but once you've done that, you'll probably find yourself asking how your PA is actually going to get paid (or they won't be very happy!) Leeds CIL provides a payroll service that is managed by our finance support workers who will be allocated to work with you. Your finance support worker will arrange to meet with you to ask you to sign some forms to register you as an employer. They will check that you know how to complete the timesheets that we have supplied you with. Every month you will need to forward these timesheets to Leeds CIL before the cut off date of 8th of each month. Your finance support worker will arrange with you how you will pass the timesheets and any other information to do with paying your personal assistant/s wages to them, before this date. This could be by post or e-mail, or any other method which is suitable for you.

The way the system works is that your employees' wages are paid into their bank accounts on the 20th of each month in arrears (the month after they have worked). This means that it may be 5 or 6 weeks before they get paid, so you must let them know that before they begin working for you. If there are certain circumstances where a PA needs to be paid before a certain date, chatting with one of our support workers can help.
